Here's your answer
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/C...350z_89511.htm I can beat them off the line and put a bus length or two on them, but once I get going 110 they can fly past me.. then again my car tops out at 120... if I had a six speed and a better diff they wouldn't stand a chance

but it is limited by its N/A. With a turbo and a lighter car the power is nearly the same at this altitude as it is at sea level, since it is at a positive pressure. That car weighs about 3700 pounds. I am not sure what a MS3 weighs, but it is nowhere near that. It is the power to weight ratio that is important here, not just all out power. A governor at 120 mph must realllllllllllllyyyyyy ssssuuuuuuucccccckkkkkkkk!!! I have no governor! hahahahah

"There is no replacement for displacement."
What you really need to look at is hp/lb ratios. The SRT is high hp but also heavy. Next is elevation which is robbing him of HP where turbo cars loose far less to altitude being F/I not N/A. I say just race, make a video and there we have it. From a roll might be better than a dig. He will tq like a mother in low end. Where as from a roll you can hit boost off the start. Just my .02.

Alright well maybe when I decide to race him I will tell him we atart at a roll. Also thats good to know about the elevation difference I didn't know that would make a difference. I'll have to see what I can do as far as getting a race together though, see if I can get a strip for a minute or something. I'll definately let you guys know if I do...
I haven't got too big into racing yet, except for like messing with idiots on the freeway... So I don't know how entertaining it would be... |

A F/I motor losses I want to say about half that. The post above gives you a rough idea though.

A Speed3 should be right on par with an SRT-8 at this altitude. Just get your shifting and shift points down, like everyone else has said, haha.

SRT 8 Jeeps are completely different.
They have 420 AWD HP stock. |
